Who Is Mary T?
Mary T has devoted almost 2 decades to understanding, studying, facilitating and coaching on what she truly believes are the key components of authentic conscious leadership. This culminated in 2020 in the creation of the Meta Navigator ® philosophy and Leadership development pathway. The Meta Navigator principles and philosophy are also the cornerstone of her transformational executive coaching, The Helmsman and The Wayfarer programme.
She loves to facilitate deeper insight in others and to create a sustainable and lasting transformation for everyone she works with. This has become her life’s work and the work, she truly believes, that she was born to do.
Her life’s inner work is to strive to do the best she can and to be a bit better today than she was yesterday while constantly challenging her own thinking, her status quo, her beliefs and her comfort zone!
Mary T is empathetic and intuitive and can quickly get to the heart of a matter and offer valuable insights that helped us all challenge ourselves and one another.
Outside of the day to day, you’ll possibly find her tinkling the ivories of her beloved new Yamaha Clarinova piano, figuring out how to play the resonance of the moment. Or you could find her strolling through the beautiful array of stunning walks and views in the countryside of County Clare, from the local cascades to the cliff walk in Kilkee – which truly have become her soul’s home.
She’s also known to love drinking copious amounts of tea (and the odd glass of Alberino) with her many cherished friends. She’s happiest when in the flow of a deep and meaningful conversation.
She unwinds by reading the book of the moment (usually, there are 2 or 3 on the go at the same time! not always to be recommended 😊) – or watching or listening to inspiring talks and podcasts, not to forget her greatest indulgence, signing up for and immersing herself in way too many courses.
She’s also regularly known to be found replenishing with family and friends in the joy of her treasured hometown of Charleville where her passion for understanding people, what makes them tick, what goes on behind the scenes and her desire to make life a little bit easier, began long ago. It all started when, as a young girl, she stood on a ‘Cidona box’ to learn how to fill her first pint of Guinness in the family pub.
Azurite Consulting was born back in 2006, pre-recession – back in a time for Mary T, when there was so much un-certainty and unknown in her own life. Yet there was a deeper knowing that emerged, a deeper level of trust in that unknown which soon became a case of, in her own words “I CANNOT NOT do it!” – despite all the well-meaning advice of “don’t do it”, “get a real job”, “the market is saturated with coaches and facilitators’ to the ultimate “you’re mad, girl!”.
I know it must have looked like she was standing atop a cliff, deciding to jump yet having no parachute or safety net and not being able to swim. She jumped anyway.
… and here she is, 18 years on …
